COMMUNITY ROLES

ETN’s bigger purpose is to act in ways to reflect the behaviors of a good corporate citizen. Through this, EXPLORER CARE is its social community arm with the mission: “lift a hand, light a heart, help a life”. It undertakes specific outreach initiatives aimed to uplift the values and needs of society and the tourism community.

COMMUNITY SERVICES

Driven by our staffs, partners, friends and family members, we initiate charity efforts such as visits, cash donations, school shoes and food provisions for underprivileged such as finally poor, mentally and physically handicapped, orphans, old folks and those neglected by society. Our charity efforts go beyond the bounds of Malaysia to Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Sri Lanka and other countries.

TOURISM PARTNERS' SERVICES

ETN’s extended corporate responsibility role is aimed at building and strengthening the leadership in the tourism industry as part of its contribution to build professionalism here. Held once or twice a year, tourism industry players are invited to participate in programs that are designed to equip them with right mindset and professional competencies that will help them contribute to the betterment of their organizations, and well as to tourism customers in terms of greater customer satisfaction and fulfillment. Members of the tourism industry are advised to look out for these programs that will certainly benefit them tremendously.

WALK THE EXTRA MILE

It is our goodwill to support our local community especially helping the needy for the humanitarian purpose

Explorer Care is walking the extra mile and is calling for all managers and caretakers of orphanages throughout Malaysia to send in their requests for new school shoes for the orphans under their care.

To apply for the shoes, kindly provide the following materials to the Explorer Care Secretariat:

  • Full address of orphanage
  • Telephone contact number
  • Email address & website address (if available)
  • Name of orphanage Manager and/or Caretaker
  • Number of schooling orphans in Home
  • A list of name (in full), age, gender, school Name, IC number or Birth certificate number

To be eligible, orphanages must be well managed and registered with the Welfare Department of Malaysia (JKM). The shoes will be provided to school-going orphans between the ages of 6 to 16 years old.

Applications are on a first-come- first-serve basis and successful homes will be notified accordingly.
