Mesmerize by ‘Electric Blue Fire’ at Mount Ijen

Travel to Paltuding Valley, the base camp of Mount Ijen Volcano Complex, 1h30m, 39km

Arrive at base camp, your guide will brief you on the safety procedures, the activity’s requirement and you will be gearing up with the safety equipment like gas mask & flash light

Hike up 4km for approximately 90 minutes to the highest peak of the volcanic crater, the trek shall begin with a rather straight and wide route with no rocks, walking up steep slopes for about one hour

Once you reach the top of the Mount Ijen volcano crater, you will witness the spectacular natural phenomena, ‘Electric Blue Fire’ streaming down the Mountain, it is actually the fire flame from the combustion of sulfuric gases when they come in contact with the air, igniting the ‘Electric Blue Fire’ (There is no guarantee to see the above phenomena as sometime the nature is unpredictable due to the massive sulfur clouds & smoke)
